Tending to the Spiritual Garden Within

The scripture makes it clear that there is a difference between “hearing” and “listening”... There is a difference between “seeing” and “perceiving”... This might be best captured by Job’s confession “my ears have heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” Maybe you have had this experience when you shifted from knowing about the Lord, to knowing the Lord.

This Sunday will be an invitation to the congregation to participate in an ancient practice called “Lectio Divina” which is a discipline of “listening” and “perceiving” the Word, not just with our ears and eyes, but with our hearts.
